SO i wanted to give you all some insight into my new life seeing as erica thought i was still taking interior design. :)

I am working on my masters degree at FSU for Student Affairs in Higher Education. Basically what this means is that I will finish in two years with a degree that will allow me to work at a university advising students in some way. Student affairs is very broad so I could land a job in judicial affairs, housing, greek life, international affairs, athletics, orientation, union services, dance marathon, homecoming, etc etc etc. There are so many opportunities in SA but right now my heart is, of course, stuck with greek life. I am working in the GL office (which conveniently is located in the football stadium!) advising students who are part of a greek organization. I advise two Panhellenic groups, two Interfraternity groups, two Multicultural groups, and two National Pan-Hellenic groups. I also advise Panhellenic Recruitment, the Panhellenic Council, the Multicultural Greek Council, New Member programming, and I will be teaching a class in the spring based on Emerging Leaders. So as you can see I am super busy! I have no set schedule and will find myself having random hours - like today- Thursday- I have a meeting from 5-6 pm. FUN! But I dont work fridays, so I am happy!

My job is really to advise these students and challenge them to "think outside the box" and become stronger leaders both as students and as individuals. So far this is a really exciting adventure!

I work with fabulous people! I have three bosses and there is another GA working with me who advises the other councils. We say every day how lucky we are to be working in a place where it doesnt really feel like work!

My slogan for awhile has been "Inspire the Woman. Impact the World." thanks for Alpha Gamma Delta but now I am working on an advising philosophy and it seems more appropriate to say "Inspire the Leader. Impact the World." wouldn't you say? :)
